Malawian Primary and Secondary Schools: Field trips

Primary and secondary schools that are organizing a field trip for their pupils to a museum, archaeological sites and (national) monuments in Malawi, may apply for a small grant to cover part of the expenses. An application should include the following information:

 
  • The description of the field trip to be funded, including its participants;
  • Description of the education programme the trip is part of;
  • Itemized budget.

 

Conditions

Letter of appreciation after receipt of the funds and a trip report made by one or more attending pupils. A financial report of the expenses including receipts.

 

Malawian Institutions: Education Programmes

A museum or other cultural institution may apply for funding for the development or implementation of its education programme. Such application must contain the following information:

 
  • Description of the (intended) education programme and the activities included;
  • The expected results;
  • Itemized budget;
  • Time schedule;
  • Motivation letter.

 

Conditions

Letter of appreciation after receipt of the funds. Two copies of any educational materials developed and/or written reports of two or more participants in the education programme. A financial report of the expenses including receipts.

 

Malawian Institutions: Employee Training

The institutions listed under B above may apply for funding to finance specialised courses and training for the benefit of their employees. Mlambe Foundation does not fund per diem allowances for government or non-government personnel. Applications must contain the following information:

 
  • CVs of the employee(s) whom the funding is applied for;
  • The course/ training description;
  • Itemized budget;
  • Time schedule;
  • Motivation letter explaining the added value for the institution of the course/training offered to the employee.

 

Conditions:

Letter of appreciation after receipt of the funds. Two copies of any thesis or publication that may result from the training/course. A written report of the course/training of the participant(s). A financial report of the expenses including receipts.

 

Applications must be submitted by e-mail and must be addressed to the Board of Mlambe Foundation. A decision will be made on the application within 6 weeks after receipt thereof.
